In late August, members of the Bowie Police Department were called to the 7000 block of Race Track Road, where they found local resident Millard Noack, Jr. unresponsive in the street with injuries to his head, sending him to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, Noack died from those injuries on Friday, Oct. 27, and a subsequent autopsy determined that he died from blunt force trauma and it was ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, authorities announced on Tuesday.

Investigators say that an unknown person struck Noack in the head, causing the critical injuries before running from the scene. The motive for the assault remains under investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the fatal incident has been asked to contact the department by calling (301) 516-2512.
